Energetic and powerful in its throbbing resonance and anthemic patterning, this album is Napalm Death at their most assertive and hookish. Songs wander before hitting a refrain and exploding into turbulence, and thrashing begets longer almost melodic riffs which then subside into chaos once again. Destructive in sonic intent but "positivist" in lyrical content, these songs remain a staple of the Napalm Death repertoire.
