HAIL,
This week a ripping show that will probably go down on cassette for
distribution to world minions. Thanks to all for support and hellbent
promotion of evil!
This week we have added Niden Div 187, from Necropolis records here
somewhere in sunny fucked-up California. Fast, melodic, strobing black
metal that iterates chords on ridiculously long intervals, allowing each
note to resonate through your head like a doom band would but at high,
blasting speed. The record is called "Towards Judgement" and it's a
half-size case CD EP. Also of note from that label is Hellheim with
"Fenris," which is American fast black metal of a simple melodic nature with
shouted vocals. Sort of cool, interesting experiment at least.
I am hearing that Monstrosity's Millenium and Vader's De Profundis are about
to experience release in the United States, which brings a warm glow to my
heart as I realize all the Hessians out there who are gonna get a chance to
check out this music. Vader is fast and psychedelic death metal in the
style of Slayer, with more of an ambient groove. Monstrosity - what needs
be said after the crushing tour with Kataklysm? They sodomize the weak and
the strong alike with technical, rhythmic, and varied death metal in the
best of the American style. For more information, please check out

A couple of nights ago local band Rise opened for Deicide, whose tour
prompted a Deicide medley last night in salute to some of the fundamental
pioneers of this style. Rise's album, "Shadow of Ruins," is a classic of
powerful death metal in the older style and we hope to hear more from them
as they are able to escalate production with their rising talent.
