the wall rises like a giant tooth around the city. the lights of the city are blunted against the low boiling clouds. from inside comes the infernal noise, the cacophony of tones and voices. shrieks pulse upward like flares of smoke and flame. from the noise comes a sudden twisting of perception of sound which tears the encompassing distortion into a sudden vision, a curling of reality into a tangible surface, a reality.
at the base of the wall, near the road, is a sign. this is the key to the city of dis.
